It’s Sunday already …

It’s Sunday already … geez this week just flew by!

Before starting to write this chapter of our on-going adventures here in beautiful Cape Breton I scanned my previous blogs. The last four have all started with rain. I’m happy to say that this one will not start with rain, although, it may finish with it as we are expecting some nasty weather over the next few days courtesy of the “Frankenstorm” Hurricane Sandy.

The sun has been shining and we’ve been enjoying some lovely sunsets the past few days. Dave and Jeff have been joking about how difficult it has become to work on the new chicken coop due to the lack of boot-sucking mud! The nights have been clear as well and it has been nice to see the moon as she closes in on the full stage.

I woke up to this the other day. I’ve never seen a whole entire rainbow on the lake before. It was beautiful!

The big news this week is that we hosted our first B&B guests. It was exactly how I envisioned our B&B would be! We had a lovely visit last evening and then a relaxed, casual breakfast this morning. Great job on the waffles Dave (as usual)!

This is Anne’s last week with us. It will be hard to let her go but that is the life of a WWOOF host.

This is Anne.
We took advantage of the beautiful weather and went for a walk to Campbell’s beach.

Well, that’s it for this week. I will leave you with the sunset from last night. Our guests arrived after dark so this one is dedicated to Dawn and Jonathan.

Happy Hallowe’en!
